Objective:
For participants to understand the structure and scope of MedDRA and to be able to properly and efficiently code medical information into MedDRA. To understand the benefits of coding conventions when using MedDRA; and to review, understand, and practice the principles described in the MedDRA Term Selection: Points to Consider document.
Description:
This 1-day course is designed to provide an understanding of the scope, structure, and characteristics of MedDRA and the application of the terminology in coding clinical data. It is designed for individuals involved with coding, those affected by coding guidelines and associated standard operating procedures, and those involved with synonym lists. Participants will be given an overview of the MedDRA Term Selection: Points to Consider document and will perform hands-on coding exercises to demonstrate the principles described in the document.
