Objective:
To provide MedDRA users with a basic understanding and information on the use of Standardised MedDRA Queries (SMQs) for data retrieval, presentation, and analysis.
Description:
This 1-hour webinar briefly reviews the scope, structure, and characteristics of MedDRA, introduces the MedDRA Data Retrieval and Presentation: Points to Consider document, and describes the use of MedDRA in query building. The course then focuses on the background, characteristics and application of Standardised MedDRA Queries (SMQs) for data retrieval, presentation, and analysis. There is also a brief discussion of the creation and use of customised searches.
This course is designed for:
MedDRA users, particularly clinical research and pharmacovigilance personnel, as well as others interested in the use of MedDRA SMQs for data retrieval, presentation, and analysis. This presentation is not intended to provide a comprehensive overview of MedDRA data analysis and SMQs -- for individuals wishing to acquire in-depth knowledge of this subject, please consider attendance at the face-to-face MedDRA: Safety Data Analysis and SMQs course.
