Coding with MedDRA

Special Instructions:  Bring your own laptop Please arrive by 8:45. NOTES:  -- This training will be conducted in English. -- Facility Entry Requirements Participants will arrive at the 675 campus, main lobby (bldg.10) there are signs that will lead you to the correct building; visitor parking is also available. Participants will get registered and receive their badge and be escorted to the meeting room. In addition to the information you submit with your on-line course registration, you will need to provide your phone number. The MSSO will request this additional information closer to the class dates. -- This class is limited to two persons per organisation.  However, if space is available, please contact the MSSO training desk, mssotraining@meddra.org, for consideration to add registrants from your company. Continuing Education Credits:  California Board of Registered Nursing approved credit hours:  8.4 hours. Objective: For participants to understand the structure and scope of MedDRA and to be able to properly and efficiently code medical information into MedDRA. To understand the benefits of coding conventions when using MedDRA; and to review, understand, and practice the principles described in the MedDRA Term Selection: Points to Consider document. Description: This 1-day course is designed to provide an understanding of the scope, structure, and characteristics of MedDRA and the application of the terminology in coding clinical data. It is designed for individuals involved with coding, those affected by coding guidelines and associated standard operating procedures, and those involved with synonym lists. Participants will be given an overview of the MedDRA Term Selection: Points to Consider document and will perform hands-on coding exercises to demonstrate the principles described in the document.
